Birthday Wishes
By Tilly Rivers
COPYRIGHT Tilly Rivers, 2005
Clarence Rivers, Birth date: February 27
This birthday wish is not like any other
For it is placed on the wings of the wind
My lips whisper to a different realm
Happy Birthday Dad
I love you so
It is so hard to believe that you are not here
No card to buy
No gift to give
No telephone call
No visit
Silence
Yet my heart beats with the same wishes
Happy Birthday Dad
I love you so
Special delivery today from the wings of the wind
From me to you
A hug, a smile
Yes even a tear
Happy Birthday Day
I love you so
I miss your voice
Your hugs
Your kisses
I miss you calling me “Baby Girl”
I miss you so much Dad, not just today but always
Wind, please be strong and carry this message to the beyond
Swirl and dance and hold him tight
And whisper in his ear my love this night

I need to Inhale
Flames of me, flames of you
Breathing fire-Pure desire
I need to Inhale
Cravings, wanting you
Breathing fire-wet with desire
I need to Inhale
Flames of us- flesh melting into the other
Breathing fire Turning our love to desire
I need to touch
Touching you- touching me
Touching fire- erotic desire
Breathe
..........my fire
By Tilly RiversWhile the path may look cold
Is it not beautiful?
Do not be so sure your next steps are wrong
Do not be scared to venture along a new path
Cold
Or warm?
Judge with your complete spirit of self
Not with what the populace deems correct
No the difference between illusion and truth
Follow your heart, know your mind, and feed your spirit
Not with cold
With the mystic power of
happiness

Breathe in the sensations--of gratitude
Discover the consciousness--of self-assurance
Feel the beauty--of smoothness
Know the touch--of gentleness
Laugh with --a playful heart
~
Discover the ability--to be enhanced
Feel the empowerment --of being inspired
Express amusement--with laughter
Life’s energy--Love
Gain insight--acceptance and surrender
~
Open and receptive--qualities of life
Pure energy --Freedom
Trust in love--natural folds
Be present--moment to moment
Breathe in the sensations—the essence of you

Reaching into the air
Seeing the colours that aren’t really there
When will I learn that love is a fable?
And stop falling on my knees begging like a fool
Falling on my knees
Crying so loud
Sobs from the heart
Wrenching my heart; questioning who I am
Raise my hands to the sky
Clenched fists begging why
Why am I such a fool to believe?
Why am I such a fool to still care?
It does not seem to matter how much you hurt me
I still have a spot that won’t let you go inside me
I’m not a silly person without backbone or brain
Why than I ask; Am I such a fool when it comes to you?
“Let him go!” my mind screams
“Let him go!” My spirit begs “Release the pain”
Yet my heart hangs on like a fool
A fool on my knees

Life

I have embraced life
I am so willing to go
My to do list is long
Each time I complete a mission
I add more
A little more daring
A little more fun
I have let life
Take my heart
My body
My soul
I am one with the wind
The sun and the rain
Joined
Each day in life
I do
I see
No path unexplored
No star undetected
No body of water untouched
No sunset concealed
I have decided
I will never have regrets
For a dream undiscovered
I will never know a page
Of a book unlearned, unread
Freedom is mine
I thank life each day
I praise the universe with a smile
Life has captivated me

Don't Drop Me
I’ve craved love-Wanted so badly for it to be true
Don’t drop me
I’ve opened myself to chance-A chance at love with you
Don’t drop me
I’ve always been scared to dream-Shut off the hope that love does exist
I won’t be able to survive the plunge
Please..........
Don’t drop me

Buried Alive

The pressures of the world
Crashing down upon my chest
Can’t breathe
Can’t see beyond the next hill to climb
Buried alive
Ground is so cold
Holding me down
Holding me back
Silent words whispered
Call them prayers or pleas
All I know is that I need to be free
The weight of responsibilities’
Loud in my head
Can’t breathe
Can’t see beyond the next hill to climb
Buried alive
Ground is so cold
Holding me down
Holding me back
Silent words whispered
Call them prayers or pleas
All I know is that I need to be free
So tiny is the light in the distance
I might have missed it
If I hadn’t felt its warmth
Breaking through the hard cold ground
No more Demons of life trying to hold me down
Silent words whispered
Call them prayers or pleas
Light is born through magick
Freedom is mine

It is not the gifts that is forefront in my memories
Very few presents do I remember
I remember the feelings as if they were yesterday
Love
Warmth
Special
I remember every year we use to sing Christmas carols
Out of tune
Off key
Words not remembered-- hummed
It was so beautiful
No music now matches its wonder
I remember all of us being home
The gathering of the clan
The smells of home made baking
Christmas cake, home made candy, and a raisin pie
Dad’s favorite
Mom’s famous pumpkin pie
Going for a drive into town to see the Christmas lights on display
The ‘ohhh’s” and “aww’s”
Of each glass bulb blinking for our personal honor
I remember Dad would place a nail just so for us to place our socks
One by one we would put them up
With visions of what Santa Claus would bring
Always on Christmas morning we had to eat breakfast
Before we had our gifts
The one healthy meal of the day
For we were allowed to eat candy whenever we wanted
That day only
Stuff our faces until we turned green
I remember the turkey dinners
Christmas stories of past
The mistletoe hanging in the living room
My parents making excuses to visit it often
My special ornament for the tree
Smiles
Hand sewn doll clothes
My first doll house
Lovingly built with wall paper on the walls
Curtains on the windows, carpet and furniture
Each piece created from love
For me
I remember believing in magic
For my parents made it special
I remember candy canes and snow
Making snow angels
Throwing unsuspecting snow missiles at my siblings
And running behind my dad for protection if they dared to get even
Laughter
I remember the laughter the most…
Christmas memories
Cherished
Captured moments of the soul
Making me smile

Beauty Factor
By Tilly Rivers
Copyright, Rain Enterprises/ Tilly Rivers
The formula of what we should be
The rules of illusion of what beauty is
Who are they?
To tell me what beauty is
Who are they?
To tell me what I should look like
Know the truth
Beauty can not be found in the pages of a magazine
Our imperfections are undiscovered treasures
Break the formula
Stand up for your right
Tell them the truth
Beauty Factor
What beauty is?
Self-confidence
Style
Aura
Magic
Lure
Be you
Secure in who you are
The beauty factor is self
All women are
BEAUTIFUL!

ANGER
Tilly Rivers, Copyright © Rain Enterprises
We can all dwell on what we conceive to be as unfair in life.
Let the power of that misery eat and absorb who we are until we no longer, feel or even resemble the person we were once.
We can all sit and let that anger that bitterness of why me, filter into every pore, every fiber of us until we are comforted in our misery, in our pain.
Until we are justified within ourselves to feel the way we do.
Until we no longer see anything, or any one without first seeing the ugliness.
Anger, sadness, negative emotions and thoughts will never get me what and where I want, but following my own path will.
Challenges lead to positive results
I have learned that by nurturing love, it will nurture me
I believe that if i treat those around me with sincerity and kindness my path will be marked with the success of what is right.
How easy is it to give up? To give in?
To let the negative parts of life win
Why?
Why do YOU let fear eat us alive until we no longer become who and what we are?

Always

Always
Now there is a word
Perhaps it is not a measure of time
Maybe it is a measure of the heart?
Always
Could only be for one moment
One night, one kiss
One single spark
Carved in who you are
Always
A flash. Here. Gone
Never to depart from your soul
Even if it is never repeated
Maybe you do not need a hundred years
Always
Maybe you do not need a thousand days
Upon a thousand seconds
Maybe you only need
One single moment that will stay with you
Always
A night. A moment. A flash
The keepsake within your soul

Lyrics to Mama
II Divo
Mama, thank you for who I am
Thank you for all the things I'm not
Forgive me for the words unsaid
For the times I forgot
Mama remember all my life
You showed me love, you sacrificed
Think of those young and early days
How I've changed along the way [along the way]
And I know you believed
And I know you had dreams
And I'm sorry it took all this time to see
That I am where I am because of your truth
And I miss you, yeah I miss you
Mama forgive the times you cried
Forgive me for not making right
All of the storms I may have caused
And I've been wrong, Dry your eyes [dry your eyes]
Cause I know you believed
And I know you had dreams
And I'm sorry it took all this time to see
That I am where I am because of your truth
And I miss you, I miss you
Mama I hope this makes you smile
I hope you're happy with my life
At peace with every choice I made
How I've changed along the way [along the way]
Cause I know you believed in all of my dreams
And I owe it all to you, Mama
